The game of the well and the historical re-enactment are the two most important moments of the festivities of the Forgiveness of Montevarchi.
And as every year, thanks to the work of the Association for the Historical Re-enactment, the two events come back to life in the city center, reviving the climate, history, tradition of medieval Montevarchi.
This is the complete program of the game of the well and the historical re-enactment that will take place Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6.
Saturday 5th September
Via Roma - Piazza Varchi at 11 a.m. The Herald announces the arrival in the city of Count G. Guerra, who will bring with him the Relic of the Holy Milk of the Madonna as a gift to the Prior of the Insigne Collegiata.

Along the streets of the Old Town at 6 pm "Arrival of Guido Guerra" - Parade and re-enactment
In Piazza Varchi at 7.45 p.m. Delivery of the Relic of the Holy Milk of the Virgin by the King of France Charles of Anjou to Count Guido Guerra.
From 7.45 p.m. onwards on Via Roma Opening taverns "Il Banchetto" beginning celebrations with the opening of the taverns to participate in the great dinner open to the citizens with the coin the "Varco".
In Piazza Varchi at 9.30 p.m. Gioco del Pozzo Finale 3rd and 4th place and Finalissima 1st and 2nd place a spectacular challenge of skill, strength and cunning.
